Concept2 Holiday Challenge

What is Concept2 Holiday Challenge?
The Concept2 Holiday Challenge runs throughout December each year, challenging participants to log either 100,000 metres (standard) or 200,000 metres (advanced) on a Concept2 RowErg, SkiErg, or BikeErg. Metres are tracked through the Concept2 Online Logbook, and participants who complete the challenge receive a certificate and recognition. The challenge is one of several annual Concept2 community events designed to maintain training motivation during the winter months. It serves as both a fitness goal and a social accountability tool — many rowing clubs and gym groups participate collectively. The 100K target works out to approximately 3,200 metres per day, while the 200K target requires roughly 6,450 metres daily.
How Watta Uses Concept2 Holiday Challenge
Watta tracks every erg session during the Holiday Challenge with AI OCR, automatically logging distances toward the 100K or 200K target. The Effort Score ensures that daily metres are logged at appropriate intensity — helping participants avoid overtraining during a high-volume month. Club and squad feeds provide social motivation to keep logging through the holiday period.
