Pace Calculator
How This Works
Select your mode: distance-to-split (enter distance and target time to find required split) or split-to-time (enter distance and split to find total time). For distance-to-split mode, the calculator divides total time by the number of 500m segments in your distance. For split-to-time mode, it multiplies your split by the number of segments. The calculator also shows the watts required at your target pace using the Concept2 formula, so you can gauge whether the effort is realistic based on your training history.
Examples
You want to finish a 2K in 7:00
You need to hold a 1:45.0/500m split, which requires approximately 302 watts sustained over 4 splits.
You plan a 5K at a 2:00.0/500m pace
Your predicted finish time is 20:00 at approximately 203 watts — a solid aerobic effort for most club rowers.
Targeting a sub-40 minute 10K
You need a 2:00.0/500m split or faster. At this pace you will cover 10,000m in exactly 40:00.
