What is Concept2 Workout Types?
The PM5 monitor on Concept2 ergometers offers several workout configuration types. Single Distance: row a set distance (e.g., 2000m, 5000m) — the monitor counts down metres remaining. Single Time: row for a set time (e.g., 30:00, 60:00) — the monitor counts down time remaining. Intervals (Distance): repeated distance pieces with set rest (e.g., 8×500m with 1:00r). Intervals (Time): repeated time pieces with set rest (e.g., 4×4:00 with 2:00r). Variable Intervals: custom combinations of different distances/times and rest periods. Just Row: open-ended rowing with no target — counts up distance and time. The PM5 also supports custom workout lists that can be created via the Concept2 Utility app or USB. Pre-programmed standard workouts include common pieces like 2000m, 5000m, and 30 minutes.
